Sente: The big mission. [finally]

Hans had already let the rest of the team know they were to have a meeting, possibly the final meeting before the assault. His best agents would participate, and he aimed for more than search and extraction. He wanted to level the base. But he had to be very careful, for the Space Station could not be hindered too much, they could not use the crude methods they'd used on Kreludor.

Limit was leaning back in her chair with her eyes closed, as she was wont to do--however, those blue eyes opened into a sharp glare the instant Hans neared the room. Emiliot, who was seated farther away, was sitting on his tail and fidgeting with his toes, which was not entirely unexpected... but still strange.

Ney looked around at them in silence, she had nothing to say and she really didn't care who else was here.

Dresael leaned back in her chair to look at Hans, Lyserg sitting patiently at the end of the table beside Lacey, and that cybunny whose name I can't remember sat in a corner, idly working on a bomb. Kanika stood as Hans took a seat and turned on the large screen, showing a 3D image of the base Godot was in, based on the blueprints brought back by Niku.

Elazul stood behind Dresael and also looked to Hans. His tail swishing behind him anxiously, he wanted this over with. Lacey scanned the room for a few seconds before her pink eyes fell on Hans. She didn't know how this mission would help her find Home but she trusted Lyserg and thus was waiting for her orders. As the 3D image was shown she turned her attention to that.

Ney was silent, standing back away from everyone as she looked at the map and waiting for Hans to start talking.

Emiliot was more interested in Lacey and Lyserg than the 3D image, and his eyes kept flicking back to them when he wasn't squirming in his seat. Limit, of course, was all business and kept her arms folded over her chest, tailtip flicking as she waited impatiently.

Lyserg had noticed the looks of the scientist, and intended to keep him away from Lacey. Hans turned to the model. "With a bit of help from Emiliot we've mapped out the complete base, including the labs and the places where it is most likely we can find our objectives. Niku is alive, and I intend we rescue him, as a first priority." The map was showing the locations blinking in red, with words spelling out what each room was for.

Emiliot was slowly sinking in his chair--he was sliding under the table to where he could creep over to Lacey was and get a better look at her. Limit flicked an ear crossly. "Why do they have Niku to begin with?" she demanded.

Elazul wanted to know the same thing. So he turned to look at Hans to see his reaction and response. Lacey was not interested in why someone she didn't know(or care about) was missing, so she instead studied the map and made a copy of it in her mind. Including each word and each objective.

Ney twitched a little at Limits question, looking at the kougra for a split second before looking back at Hans.

Hans sighed, "That was my mistake..." He frowned, "I sent him undercover to recover a file with information on our primary enemy." A picture of Godot appeared on the screen. "But he was caught."

Emiliot was now completely under the table at this point and was (not quite so) stealthily sneaking across the floor. Limit frowned.

Ney sighed quietly as she heared Hans. She still couldn't belive Niku had been caught, but she also knew he was alive and not a step away from death so she wasn't planning to punch Hans about his mistake till after her brother was back.

"E...Emi!" Hans finally noticed the zafara was up to no good, and he frowned. "Get up here."

Emiliot looked up, red eyes wide. "I'm not here!" he replied, a bit nonsensically. "I'm in my chair!" He scrambled back towards his seat to show what a good zafara he was.

Ney watched, rolling her eyes a little. That zafara seemed more idiotic then the first time she saw him.

Hans sighed, "Emiliot, you said chances are best if we appear on the seventh floor, but we need a strategic position to open it, without knowing what's on the other side. Do you know of any specific exact location we could open without getting entangled in walls, or surrounded easily by humans?"

Emiliot tilted his head faaaar to the right and thought about it. "It would have to be someplace with lots of walls. Maybe the bathroom!" Limit rolled her eyes, even though the idea did have merit.

Hans though of this, "It'd have to be a rather large bathroom to work." He said.

"The staff bathroom on the seventh floor is big!" Emiliot exclaimed. "But it is kind of smelly." He paused to watch a piece of fluff drift through the air, then refocused. "No one really uses it because there are better ones everywhere else."

Hans smiled slightly, "That would work perfectly." Kanika manipulated the map to show the seventh floor layout. "Which room is it?"

Emiliot bounded out of his chair, apparently delighted to be of service. He hopped up to point at a large-ish room near a section of hallway in the northeast corner. "That one!"

Hans nodded, "That looks good, Kanika, prepare the portal." He turned back, and began assigning positions, as he went over the information he had gathered from Niku and Misora.

Limit watched as Emiliot hopped back to his seat and promptly began fidgeting. There was something weird about him, and not just the obvious. Actually, why did he know all of this to begin with?

Ney listened in silence, but when she heared she would be going after Niku and kill as many humans as possible a small smirk came onto her face. She was going to enjoy that.(Note From Hikaru: ((And actually, she's supposed to keep the bunny from dying as she planst the bombs, not go after Niku)), Zyo stated she was too lazy to change the post))

Emiliot squirmed uncomfortably for some reason--either it was the mention of humans or the mention of killing, it was hard to tell.

Elazul smiled a bit, finally things were moving. The killing humans part didn't appeal to him really at all. Actually the mission itself didn't interest him but he'd help where he could. Lacey made the necessary adjustments to the map she made in her head and then fidgeted. She was ready to go, now.

Limit just nodded and checked her guns with a series of harsh clackings and clickings before reholstering them and facing front again.

Hans nodded, "Any questions?" He didn't wait, "We will be starting out at 0300 hours, be ready and rested." He stood. "Lacey, Lyserg, I want to see you both in my office."

Limit rose abruptly to go to the firing range for practice... and then to take a nap. Emiliot vanished under the table again.

Ney just turned, and headed out to go see how Quintil was doign, then go sleep for a while.

Lacey nodded and stood then bent down to look under the table. "..What are you doing?" She asked with a small smile. Elazul nodded with the others and backed up to let Dresael out. "Want to go train a bit?" He asked her with a smile.

Emiliot jumped, nearly banging his head on the bottom of the table. "Stalking you!" he informed her helpfully, waggling his ears. "I'm going to see how you work without you knowing!"

Dresael stood, smiling as she nodded, "Sure, let's go." She took his hand as they left the room. Kanika had left first, and Hans walked over to the cybunny. "Will the bombs be ready?" She nodded, "Yeah, don't sweat it."

Elazul smiled and his fingers intertwined with hers. "We can work on our strategy or something" He said with a laugh. Lacey smiled big. "Okay!" She stood and then walked over to Lyserg as if nothing had happened.

Emiliot hunkered back down under the table, waiting to begin his stalk.

Dresael left Elazul off to the training room, and Lyserg looked at the stalker, then the stalkee. She sighed, she'd have to warn her about Emi later... She motioned to the girl, as she walked out of the room and off towards Hans' office.

Lacey waited for Lyserg to go then looked back in Emiliot's direction. "...I'm leaving now." She said then followed Lyserg.

Emiliot scooted out from under the table after a decent interval, then scuttled along the floor behind them, barbed tail high in the air like a banner as he pursued them in a grotesque parody of stealth. His blond hair fell into his eyes several times and he had to blow it away to be able to see.

Lacey followed Lyserg silently, every so often her ears would twitch. She entered the room a few seconds after Lyserg and stood next to her chair.

Emiliot hid under the desk, bright red eyes sparkling with energy and life. It might have been the proximity of the machines, but he seemed much less restless and more alive here than he did in the conference room. Well, he would have if you looked under the desk, anyway.

Hans appeared a bit later, glancing at the table... or was it under it? and sighing. "Emi, go to your lab." He said quietly.

Emiliot didn't appear, however, he was obviously pretending he wasn't there.

"He is stalking me." She said, as if she knew what that meant.

Hans nodded, "I know." He walked over behind his desk to sit down, "He'd also probably love to disassemble you to find out how you work." He said, as he flicked on several monitors.

"...He would not need to disassemble me to do that. I could show him." She said looking to the monitors.

Emiliot stuck his head out from under the desk, where he'd wedged himself sideways. "Really?" He was wide-eyed with hope. He was also disheveled, and something metallic was sticking out from under his sandy hair.

Hans chuckled, but concentrated on bringing up information, before turning back to them. "I want you to know that while we've been dedicated to the Godot case, I have not forgotten your need for help. I was able to find information about the ship you came in... I'm afraid it's mostly bad news."

Lacey held no reaction just looked to the screen. "And?" She was interested in all things related to Home, even the bad news.

"There are reports of the crash, and from what I've been able to gather, there were no survivors... though I believe another of your kind DID survive. There's stories of a rater explosive glowing xweetok has been seen around certain docks... I think he may be of your kind." Hans said.

Lacey took this all in and tapped her foot. "...Colors?" She said, she almost seemed to be disappointed now.

"Black, with blue neon glows." He said, and he brought up a rather blurry shot of Aeris and Ugnak at a dock.

Emiliot twisted his head back and forth, trying to understand what was going on. The metal on his head glinted with every turn.

Lacey got closer to the screen and her eyes changed to blue as she scanned the blurry picture. In her mind she refocused it and a small smile appeared on her face. "..After this mission I can go look for him.." She looked at Lyserg for a moment. "..alone?"

Lyserg smiled, "If it's what you want to do, then you go alone. But if I can be of any help, then I'll come with you..." She looked to Hans, who nodded his approval, idl hand going to tilt Emi's head to hide the glint in his hair again without looking at the scientist.

Emiliot blinked in confusion and finally twisted around under the desk so that he was right-side up and his hair fell the right way. "What's going on?"

Lacey stepped back, Ugnak's image now the main focus in her mind. No survivors? She wasn't sure how to process it all. "That is all?" She said not looking at Hans, Lyserg, or Emi. Her bright pink wings disappearing.

Hans nodded, "I'm sorry... seems you and this fellow are all that's left of the ship, the rest burned up."

Lacey's expression didn't change but she did move to the door. Hans needed a lesson in tact. "..Thank you." She opened the door and walked out.

Emiliot scooted out from under the desk to follow her.

Lyserg sighed, as Lacey left. "You needn't have said that." She said, looking to Hans, who frowned slightly. "I... I'm sorry... it's hard to judge with her, I cannot read her." Lyserg almost laughed at that. "That must be new to you." She admitted as she stood, walking off after Emi and Lacey. Hans leaned back in his chair, rubbing his eyes. I need rest... he thought, before the mission. But he doubted he'd be able to sleep.

Emiliot trotted along behind Lacey, still on all fours, his back end high in the air like an idiot. He didn't really understand what had just happened there, but he wanted to know if she'd still show him how she worked.

Emiliot sat back on his haunches, dejected, and watched her take the elevator away. Well... maybe he could go work on his cube. Or maybe he could sulk. That second one sounded like a good plan.

Lyserg watched her, then sighed, eying Emiliot. Two seemingly naiive people... she'd have to keep an eye on them. At least he seemed more interested in Lacey than herself now.

Emiliot hoppoed off towards the lab, determined to take a nap in the new hammock he'd made out of spun titanium. He'd discovered how to make it soft like cotton!

The mission started promptly at 3am. With Kanika leading from the base, and keeping Emiliot in check, the portal was opened, and in silence, at a nod from Hans, they slipped through one by one, taking up position in the bathrooms of the space station. The bathroom did stink, as Emi had pointed out, but was deserted. Once everyone had passed into the bathroom, Hans carefully peered through the door to the corridor outside.

Elazul had spent most to their time before the mission training with Dresael. Once they had both agreed they were in good sync he spent the night resting with her. He had slept as best he could, his stomach in knots over the whole mission. He always had a sinking feeling something would go wrong, but he only hoped it would all work out.

When they all gathered for the mission he stepped through the portal, holding Dresael's hand, and his nose scrunched up at the smell. Well, it smelled like a dirty bathroom, a dirty bathroom that never was cleaned. Looking to Hans he waited for him to confirm the coast was clear before he an Dresael would set out.

Lacey just used the rest of her time before the mission adjusting all her equipment. She knew she had no malfunctioning parts, and wasn't at all anxious or excited. She simply had a mission at hand and was ready to execute it. She walked out after Elazul and Dresael and had no opinion on the smell.

Emiliot had failed to see them off, having fallen so soundly asleep in his new hammock that he hadn't managed to wake up in time. It was just as well, however--the last thing he wanted to see was the inside of that space station. He remained curled in the soft titanium nest, his right clawed thumb jammed firmly into his mouth. A genius indeed.

Limit had an opinion on the smell. The opinion was that it wasn't worth her time. She'd divided the hours before the mission between napping and priming her guns, making sure the silencers were on correctly and the barrels were clean, and now she slipped through the bathroom on soundless paws, hardly bothering to wrinkle her nose at the offencive odour. Her large ears (overlarge, even) remained erect, twisting back and forth to listen for alien movement.

The corridor was long and white, branching off in two directions at one end and simply turning left at the other. It was studded with four doors, one of which was large and black, the other which appeared to be relatively average as far as construction. The fluroescent lights buzzed, loud enough for Leopet ears to hear easily, but less easily heard by human ones.

Ney's nose scrunched up as she smelt the bathroom, wow was it ever bad. Ignoring it as much as she could after the initial suprised she went over beside the cybunny (Can't remember her name). She really was hoping all of this would go as smoothly as possible. Looking at Hans she waited silently for him to give the go ahead.
